Here's Your Chance to be a Water Warrior

Our friends over at the James River Basin Partnership (JRBP) have once again teamed up with the Ozark Mountain Paddlers to host the 15th Annual River Rescue on October 5th. If you, or you and your family/friends/co-workers, are looking for an opportunity to actively support clean water in our region's rivers and lakes, this is your chance to join others in our community for a day on the river helping to remove literally tons of trash!
There are a limited number of boats available or you may bring your own. Registration is REQUIRED for both. Shuttling, bags, and gloves are provided for all participants. The clean-up stretch this year will be on the Finley River from the Old Mill in Ozark to a take out on City of Ozark private property, which is approximately a 4 mile float.
If you're interested in participating, more details (including info about registration, ordering T-shirts, and buying raffle tickets for some great prizes) can be found on the JRBP website.
Of course, if you can't make it that day, you can still help support the great work JRBP does by making a donation to support Breakfast on the Banks for all their dedicated volunteers. They're looking to raise $900 in 23 days, and can take donations of a $1 or more at their Cause Momentum campaign website.
